Marcelo E. Coniglio has born in 1963 in
Puerto
Belgrano, Argentina. He graduated in Mathematics
at University of Mar del Plata,
Argentina,
in 1989. After a two- year period (1990-1992) as Assistant Professor at
the Department of Computer Science
of the University of Buenos Aires
(Argentina),
he got his PhD in Mathematics
from
the University of São Paulo
(Brasil)
in 1997 ("The logic of sheaves over quantales"), under the supervision
of Francisco Miraglia. Between 1998 and 2004 he was Assistant Professor
at the Philosophy
Department of the Institute
of
Philosophy and Human Sciences (IFCH) of the State
University of Campinas (UNICAMP), and since 2005 he is Associate
Professor.
In 2004 he got his Habilitation
(Livre-Docência) in Logic from UNICAMP.
Since 1998 he is member of the Association
for Symbolic Logic (ASL).
He is also member of the Group
for Theoretical and Applied Logic (GTAL) at CLE, since 1998. Since 2002 he
is member of the Centre
for Logic, Epistemology and the History of Science (CLE) of
UNICAMP. Between 2003 and 2009 he was Coordinator of the Publications
Sector of CLE, and since 2009 he is vice-director of CLE. Since
2007 he is collaborator of the Security
and Quantum Information Group (SQIG), a research unit of the Department
of Mathematics of the Instituto
Superior Técnico (IST), Lisbon, Portugal. Since 2008 he is Secretary of the Brazilian Logic Society
(SBL).
