- Members of the CLE may include faculty members and researchers of recognized competence in one of the CLE's areas of expertise, belonging to Unicamp or other national or international university or research institutions, who have made a significant contribution to the CLE's activities or to the scientific activities of its members.

- The members of the CLE will be appointed by the Rector, upon nomination by the Scientific Council.

- Researchers affiliated with CLE who are directly assigned to other units at Unicamp may carry out their activities there without prejudice to the duties assigned to them by their units of origin and with their express authorization.
