Presentation
The CLE Library was created in 1978, with the objective of offering technical-scientific information and support to research, teaching and extension programs developed or supported by CLE and enabling access to information stored and generated at the unit, as well as at UNICAMP, to the scientific community, promoting the exchange of information, experiences and documents.
The Library is part of the UNICAMP Library System, which is made up of 24 libraries of institutes, faculties and multidisciplinary research centers that make up the University.
On September 24, 1998, the Library was renamed Michel Debrun Library, in honor of this renowned professor who, during his academic life at the University, dedicated himself to CLE, developing numerous and important researches in this unit.
Collection
The collection of the CLE Library is composed of several bibliographic materials in the areas of logic, symbolic logic and mathematics, epistemology and history of science, undergoing constant updates.
Currently, the collection consists of:
- Books: 12015 volumes
- Periodicals: 574 titles
- Theses: 324
- Reprints: 1517
- Microfiches: 35,333
Also part of the collection are the collections that belonged to eminent professors at Unicamp, such as Prof. Michel Debrun, Prof. Michael Wrigley, Prof. Mario Sette, Prof. Newton da Costa. In addition, the library has in its collection works on cd-rom by several philosophers.
