Possibilistic logic introduced through comparison with probability logic
Synopsis
Within the ecosystem of imprecise probabilities, possibilistic logics are among the alternatives to probability logic proposed for problems pervaded with imprecision. They describe each proposition of classical logic with two measures: possibility and necessity. We do not survey possibilistic logic, but introduce it by highlighting its main similarities and differences with probability logic, and discuss the claim that it is better suited to problems involving imprecision.
