António de Freitas is a full-time researcher at the CEHUM (Center of Humanistic Studies) at the University of Minho. He is also a Professor of Logic at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Minho. He is interested in Ancient Languages and their logical representations. Using logical-mathematics approaches he searches for elements of thought in many different ancient cultures, using the languages as entry doors. The most recent project aims to reconstruct the Hittite representation of the world and the logic behind it, analysing original texts.
