How to Reach Unicamp

From Campinas

When riding Campinas city buses, it is much more convenient to get a “bilhete único” bus card. Once you purchase and charge it, you can use it to ride up to three different buses within a 2-hour period paying the R$5,15 fee only once. You can get one of these for yourself at the Campinas Central Terminal, at the Campinas Bus Station, or at the places mentioned on this page. Alternatively, you can ride a city bus using a QR Code provided by the app Transurc Smart (Android / IOS), paying the R$5,60 fee only once.

From Viracopos International Airport to Unicamp:

  • 1.93 – (city bus) – from Viracopos Airport to Central Terminal of Campinas. (itinerary). Works daily from 5:40 to 00:10, every 30 minutes (on weekdays; every 40 minutes on weekends).
  • 3.30 – (city bus) – from Campinas Central Terminal to UNICAMP (itinerary). It works only on weekdays, from 5:10 to 22:40, every 22 minutes.
  • Cab or Uber – the average cab fee from Viracopos to Unicamp is about R$150,00; the average uber fee is about R$70,00.

From downtown Campinas to UNICAMP:

  • 3.30 – (city bus) – from Campinas Central Terminal to UNICAMP (itinerary). It works only on weekdays, from 5:10 to 22:40, every 22 minutes.
  • Cab or Uber – the average cab fee from downtown Campinas to Unicamp is about R$60,00; the average uber fee is about R$30,00.

From Campinas Bus Station to UNICAMP:

  • 3.32 – (city bus) – from Campinas Bus Station to UNICAMP (itinerary). Works daily from 5:10 to 00:22, about every 10 minutes (on weekdays). It stops at the “Hospital de Clínicas” of Unicamp, but one can take the Unicamp Campus Bus (“Circular I” or “Circular II”) for free to get to the Basic Cycle (itinerary).
  • Cab or Uber – the average cab fee from Campinas Bus Station to Unicamp is about R$60,00; the average uber fee is about R$30,00.

From Campinas Bus Station to Terminal Barão Geraldo:

  • 3.31 – (city bus) – from Campinas Bus Station to Barão Geraldo Terminal (itinerary). Works daily from 5:00 to 23:00, every 1 hour and 20 minutes (on weekdays).

From downtown Campinas to Terminal Barão Geraldo:

  • 3.33 – (city bus) – from Campinas Central Terminal to Barão Geraldo Terminal (itinerary). Works daily from 5:00 to 00:10, every 10 minutes (on weekdays; every 24 minutes on weekends).

From Terminal Barão Geraldo to UNICAMP:

  • 3.29 – (city bus) – from Barão Geraldo Terminal to UNICAMP (itinerary). Works daily from 4:50 to 23:54, every 30 minutes (on weekdays; every 1 hour and 30 minutes on saturdays).
  • 3.37 – (city bus) – from Barão Geraldo Terminal to UNICAMP (itinerary). Works daily from 5:10 to 23:54, every 35 minutes.

From São Paulo
